Carolyn A. Hellyar, age 76, of Avon Lake, Ohio passed away Monday, March 3, 2025 in the company of her loved ones. She was born February 24, 1949 in Springfield, Massachusetts to parents Harry and Phyllis (nee Bowers) Keating.
Carol spent her early years in Palmer, Massachusetts and Texas City, Texas before the family settled in St. Louis, Missouri, where she graduated high school and attended college. Carol met her husband Michael Hellyar through their sisters who were classmates and friends, they were wed in St. Louis on June 14, 1969. The two began raising a family in St. Louis followed by a brief settling in Milwaukee, before landing in Avon Lake in 1996, where they have made their home for the last 29 years. Carol was a dedicated wife and mom, she loved raising and teaching her sons, and despite having five boys she never missed a sporting event they participated in.
