Barbara Ann (Apperson) Coon of Rocky River, Ohio, was born on April 18, 1941, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Delbert and Wilma (Kemp) Apperson.
Barb enjoyed her career as a childcare provider and, after retirement, spent her spare time sunbathing on the shores of Lake Erie, having relocated to Northeast Ohio in the 1980's. She was a talented prize-winning colored pencil artist, and also enjoyed country line dancing and traveling, especially to Georgia to visit her family. Barb loved to bake, and was known for her delicious pumpkin roll. Prior to her move into her Memory Care apartment, she was a regular attendee at Parkside Church of the Nazarene in Westlake, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her siblings, Russell, Mary, Robert, and Doris, as well as her son, Franklin Coon.
Barb is survived by her sister, Carol McElfresh, of Duncan Falls, Ohio, and her sons, Gregg Ward, and his wife, Stephanie, of Athens, Georgia, and Terry Scott Ward and his wife, Lynn
